Kiaro · The Scope Kit

Stop a project doubling in size for free.

Most scope creep is not a client behaving badly. It is twenty small requests nobody wrote down, because the only written record of the project was a proposal designed to sell it. This is the statement of work that fixes that, plus the two clauses that decide what happens when the job changes.

Free, no card. Already know your numbers? The rate calculator and the Getting-Paid Kit are free too.

What is inside

Four pieces that keep the job you agreed and the job you end up doing the same size.

01

The statement of work

A complete fill-in template: outcomes, deliverables, scope, what is explicitly out of scope, dependencies, fees, and a sign-off block. One to two pages once you have filled it in.

02

The two clauses that do the work

Acceptance criteria and change requests, written out in full, with a note on why each line is there. These are the two that decide what happens when the project changes.

03

Scripts for when scope grows

What to say the moment a client asks for something extra, in writing and on a call, including how to reset when you have already absorbed a few favours.

04

What this does not cover

The legal questions worth one hour of a lawyer's time, and a checklist that makes the hour cheap. This kit is commercial, not legal, and says so plainly.

This is a scoping kit, not a contract

It covers the commercial side of an engagement: what you are making, by when, for how much, and what happens when that changes. It does not hand you clauses on intellectual property, indemnity, liability or governing law, because those depend on where you work and are where a badly fitted template does real damage. The kit includes a one-page brief for taking exactly those questions to a lawyer, once, so you reuse the answer for years. Kiaro is not a law firm and nothing in the kit is legal advice.

Where this fits

The Getting-Paid Kit covers proposals with deposit terms, invoices, and a sequence for late payers.

Put it on autopilot

Kiaro keeps the scope you agreed next to the hours you logged against it, and flags the drift while there is still time to raise it.
