Claude calls Kiaro a custom connector. You add it with Kiaro’s server URL, then sign in to Kiaro.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds Kiaro for the organisation first.

Pro and Max

If you use an individual Pro or Max plan:

  1. In Claude, open Customize > Connectors.
  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Kiaro, paste the server URL https://kiaro.io/mcp and click Continue.
  4. Review the detected authentication settings and click Continue.
  5. Under Authentication, choose Sign in now or Sign in when needed.
  6. Under OAuth client, keep Use Claude’s published identity (Recommended).
  7. Click Add.

When Claude sends you to Kiaro, now or the first time you use it, sign in and check the workspace. If the app asks to make changes, choose whether to allow them, then click Allow.

Custom connectors are also available on Claude’s Free plan, where you are limited to one custom connector. Anthropic’s guide gives the steps for Pro and Max.

Team and Enterprise

An owner adds Kiaro for everyone. On Team plans, only Owners and Primary Owners can add connectors. On Enterprise plans, so can people with a custom role that includes Manage access to Libraries.

  1. Open Organization settings > Connectors.
  2. Click Add, hover over Custom and select Web.
  3. Name it Kiaro, paste https://kiaro.io/mcp and click Continue.
  4. Review the detected authentication settings and click Continue.
  5. Choose when people sign in under Authentication, keep Use Claude’s published identity (Recommended) under OAuth client, and click Add.

Then each person connects with their own Kiaro account:

  1. Open Customize > Connectors and find Kiaro.
  2. Click Connect, sign in to Kiaro and check the workspace. If the app asks to make changes, choose whether to allow them, then click Allow.

Use it in a chat

Click + at the lower left of the message box, open Connectors and make sure Kiaro is on for the conversation. Then ask in plain words, for example “What’s overdue in Kiaro?”. See Example prompts for more ideas.

When Claude asks to use a Kiaro tool, you can choose Allow always for tools you trust. To stop Claude using a tool, turn it off in the Search and tools menu. Actions that reach a client, change money records or delete something still wait for your approval in Kiaro, whatever you choose in Claude. See Approvals.

Disconnect

Remove Kiaro in Customize > Connectors (owners can also use Organization settings > Connectors): click Remove or the three dots next to it, and follow the prompts. To cut off access from the Kiaro side too, click Disconnect in Settings > Connected apps. See Connected apps.

Claude’s menus change from time to time. Anthropic’s own guide is Get started with custom connectors .
