One click

In Kiaro, open Settings > Connected apps and click Add to Cursor. Cursor opens and asks you to install the kiaro server.

By hand

Add Kiaro to ~/.cursor/mcp.json to use it in every project, or to .cursor/mcp.json in one project:

{ "mcpServers": { "kiaro": { "url": "https://kiaro.io/mcp" } } }

Sign in

If Cursor asks you to sign in, sign in to Kiaro in the page that opens and check the workspace. If the app asks to make changes, choose whether to allow them, then click Allow.

Use it

Ask Cursor’s agent in plain words, for example “Log 2 hours on the homepage task in the Harbour site rebuild for yesterday”. See Example prompts for more ideas.

Cursor asks before it uses a tool, unless your run mode allows it. Actions that reach a client, change money records or delete something still wait for your approval in Kiaro. See Approvals.

Turn it off or remove it

Open Customize in Cursor’s sidebar, find kiaro, and switch it off or remove it. To cut off access from the Kiaro side, click Disconnect in Settings > Connected apps. See Connected apps.

More options are in Cursor’s MCP guide .
