Kiaro works with GitHub Copilot’s agent in VS Code.

Your organisation can restrict which MCP servers are available. If you cannot add Kiaro, ask your organisation’s Copilot admin.

One click

In Kiaro, open Settings > Connected apps and click Add to VS Code. VS Code opens with the kiaro server. Review any trust or sign-in prompts before you accept them.

With a command

  1. Open the Command Palette and run MCP: Add Server.
  2. Choose HTTP (HTTP or Server-Sent Events) and paste https://kiaro.io/mcp.
  3. Enter kiaro as the server ID and choose where to save it.

If VS Code asks you to sign in, sign in to Kiaro in the page that opens and check the workspace. If the app asks to make changes, choose whether to allow them, then click Allow.

Use it

Open Copilot Chat in agent mode and ask in plain words, for example “What’s on my plate in Kiaro today?”. See Example prompts for more ideas.

Approve only tool calls you understand. Actions that reach a client, change money records or delete something still wait for your approval in Kiaro. See Approvals.

Turn it off or remove it

Run MCP: List Servers from the Command Palette and select kiaro to stop it or choose another action. You can also switch it off with the toggle beside it, or choose Uninstall from its menu. If you added it by hand and Uninstall is not offered, remove the kiaro entry from the file you saved it in.

To cut off access from the Kiaro side, click Disconnect in Settings > Connected apps. See Connected apps.

More options are in the VS Code MCP guide .
