The app cannot connect
- Check the server URL. It is
https://kiaro.io/mcp, with no slash at the end. - Check that AI apps are allowed. If an owner or admin has turned off Allow AI apps (MCP) in Settings > Connected apps, nobody in the workspace can connect, and Kiaro says “AI apps are turned off for this workspace. An owner or admin can turn them on in Settings.” Ask them to turn it on.
- Sign in with the right account. Sign in with the Kiaro account for the workspace you want to use.
- On Claude’s Free plan you can add one custom connector. Remove another one first if you already have one.
- On a work or business plan of your AI app, an organisation admin may need to allow custom connectors or MCP servers first. Check your AI app’s own help.
The app was working and now asks me to sign in again
The app was disconnected, by you or by an owner or admin. Kiaro tells the app “This connection was disconnected. Connect the app to Kiaro again.” Connect it again from the app.
The app says the account no longer has access
If you were removed from the workspace, Kiaro tells the app “This Kiaro account no longer has access to the workspace.” Ask the workspace owner.
The app says it is not allowed to do something
- It may be read only. If you turned off Allow changes when you connected, the app can only read, and Kiaro answers a change with “This action needs permission to make changes”. Disconnect it in Settings > Connected apps and connect again with Allow changes on.
- Your role may not allow it. The app can do what your role can do, and Kiaro answers anything else with “You don’t have permission to perform this action.” For example, only the owner approves timesheets.
- Your plan’s limits may apply. For example, the number of active clients on Free.
A tool I expected is missing
Read-only connections do not see tools that change things, and tools for another plan are not listed. If Kiaro added a tool after you connected, your app may still show the old list. Check your AI app’s own help for how to refresh it, or remove the connection in your app and add it again.
The approval link does not work
- It expired. Requests expire after 24 hours. Ask your AI app again.
- It was already decided. Each request can be approved or rejected once.
- It belongs to someone else. Only the person whose app asked can open it.
- The app was disconnected. Disconnecting an app cancels its waiting requests.
- AI apps are turned off. While Allow AI apps (MCP) is off, waiting requests can’t be approved or rejected.
Kiaro says “Changed since the request”
The record changed after your AI app asked, for example someone edited the invoice. Kiaro shows the updated details and runs nothing. Check them and approve again if they are still right.
The app says too many actions are waiting for approval
Up to 20 requests can wait for your approval at once. After that, Kiaro tells the app “Too many actions are waiting for approval”. Open Approvals in the sidebar, approve or reject some, then ask again.
The app says to wait, or mentions a rate limit
Kiaro limits how fast requests can arrive, to protect your workspace from a misbehaving app. It tells the app how long to wait, for example “Wait 20 seconds, then try again.” Wait that long, then ask again. See Limits and privacy.
Still stuck
Choose Contact support from your account menu in Kiaro. Say which AI app you use and what it showed you. Never send your password or a screenshot of a sign-in page.
