Using Kiaro on a Phone

Kiaro works on a phone as well as a laptop. Every list, form and detail page is usable on a small screen, and a few controls change shape to fit. This page covers what looks different and why.

Filtering a list

On a laptop, the filters for a list sit in a row above it. On a phone there is not enough width for that row, so the filters move into a panel.

1. Tap Filters above the list. A panel slides up from the bottom of the screen.
2. Set as many filters as you want. Nothing is applied while the panel is open.
3. Tap Apply. The panel closes and the list updates once.

Tapping Reset inside the panel clears every filter back to its default. Like any other change in the panel, it does not take effect until you tap Apply.

Dismissing the panel without applying, by tapping outside it or swiping it away, discards whatever you changed. The next time you open it, it shows the filters that are actually in force, not the ones you abandoned.

The Filters button shows how many filters are currently active, for example Filters (2). A filter set to its default does not count, and does not appear in the page address, which keeps shared links short.

Lists with only one filter skip the panel. That single control sits directly in the row instead, because there is nothing to batch.

Seeing what is applied

On Clients, Projects and Tasks, the filters in force appear as small chips under the row. Tap the cross on a chip to remove that one filter, or Clear all to remove them at once. Removing a chip takes effect immediately.

Other lists do not show chips. The count on the Filters button tells you how many are active.

Sorting

The sort control sits next to Filters. On a phone it shows a sort icon and the current sort order, for example Date Created, rather than the words “Sort by”. The order you are currently using is the more useful thing to see at a glance, and the full label is still announced by screen readers.

Changing a filter or the sort order always returns you to the first page of results, so you never land on an empty page.

Searching

The search box sits above the filters and spans the full width of the screen. It searches as you type. Search is separate from the filter panel and applies straight away.

Buttons at the top of a page

Page actions such as New Client, Export or Pipeline lay out in two columns on a phone so their edges line up and each one is large enough to tap comfortably. A single action, or the last one in an odd-numbered set, spans the full width.

Where a page has a group of related actions, such as Send and Schedule Send on a draft invoice, that group takes a full row of its own so the labels are not cut off.

Adding a client quickly

Quick Add on the Clients page creates a client from just a name, without opening the full form. On a phone it expands in place into a short stacked form: client name, an optional email, then Add. It stays on the page rather than opening a dialog, so you do not lose your place in the list.

Use New Client instead when you want to fill in billing details, currency, VAT settings or notes at the same time.

Tracking time

The timer bar stays fixed at the bottom of the screen on every page, so you can start and stop a timer without navigating away.

What is the same

Everything else behaves as it does on a laptop. There is no separate mobile app to install and no reduced feature set. The same data, the same permissions and the same AI command bar are available on every device.
