Revoking Access

Removing a team member

  1. Go to Settings → Members
  2. Click the Remove button next to the member’s name
  3. Confirm the removal

The member immediately loses access to the workspace. Their session is invalidated and they’ll be signed out on their next request.

The seat is freed right away, so you can invite a new member into it the same minute, including re-inviting the same person at the same email address if you change your mind.

Note: Removing a member does not delete any data they created or contributed to. All clients, projects, invoices, time entries, files, meetings, and timesheets they touched remain on the workspace exactly as they were, with the original attribution preserved for your billing history and audit trail. The person simply can no longer sign in.

Restrictions

  • You cannot remove yourself
  • The last owner cannot be removed, transfer ownership first
  • Only owners and admins can remove members

Revoking client portal access

To revoke a client’s portal access, go to Settings → Portal and choose one of two options:

  • Disable portal (toggle off), Disables portal access for the client AND revokes all active sessions immediately. The client cannot log in again until you re-enable access.
  • Revoke Sessions button, Ends all current sessions but keeps portal access enabled. The client can request a new magic link and log in again.
