AI Commands
AI commands are the unit of consumption for Kiaro’s AI features. Every message you send in the AI command bar (asking a question, creating an entity, generating a proposal, drafting an email) counts as one command.

How it works
Free
You get 100 AI commands per month. When you’ve used all 100, the AI command bar will let you know and suggest upgrading. The counter resets on the first day of each month. You can see how many you’ve used on the AI Commands card in Settings → Billing.
Solo & Team
Commands are unlimited. There is no monthly cap and no cutoff, so use the AI as much as you need. After 3,000 commands in a month on Solo, or 15,000 across a Team workspace, complex requests (proposals, contract analysis, command-bar actions) start on a faster, lighter model until the count resets on the 1st. Answers may be a little less detailed; nothing stops working.
What counts as a command?
Each message you send in the AI command bar counts as one command, however many steps it takes to answer. That includes:
- Asking the AI a question about your workspace
- Creating a client, project, or task via the command bar
- Generating a proposal or email draft
Confirming a plan the AI has proposed does not count as another command.
These also count as one command each:
- Using an AI tool on a page: Proposal Draft, rewriting proposal text, Contract Analysis and Checklist, Client Re-engagement and Check-in, Time Estimation, KB Auto-capture, and AI search
- Processing or regenerating meeting notes
- Drafting an invoice follow-up email
- Generating the AI summary on a client brief (it is cached and only regenerated when the client’s data changes)
- Generating a proposal slide deck or refreshing its text (Solo and Team). Rewriting a single slide counts as half a command.
Smart suggestions on your Home page do not consume commands. Kiaro builds them from your workspace data without an AI call.
Using Kiaro’s manual interface (sidebar navigation and forms) does not consume commands.
Monthly reset
Command counters reset on the first day of each month, whatever date your subscription renews. On Free, you get a fresh 100.
Multi-model routing
Kiaro automatically routes AI requests to the most cost-effective model for each task type:
- Simple tasks (search, time estimates) use lighter, faster models
- Complex tasks (proposals, contract analysis) use more capable models for higher-quality output
- If a provider is unavailable, requests automatically fall back to an alternative provider with no interruption to your workflow
This happens automatically on every plan. The model is picked by task, not by plan, so there is nothing to configure.
Team command sharing
On the Team plan, commands are counted once for the whole workspace, not per member. Team has no command cap, so no member runs out. The 15,000 lighter-model threshold is also shared by the whole workspace and does not grow with seats.
